Apparently, if I transfer 10 credits from Australia, the grade is transferred -5%, but if I transfer 20 credits, the grade is transferred -10%. Their argument for reducing the grade when transferring more credits is that the student has a smaller workload in final year. I also find this argument completely invalid due to the fact that the students who opted for a year abroad, have actually taken an EXTRA YEAR of full-time study.
I cannot understand why students should be penalised simply for transferring more credits, when they have done all the work. It makes no sense!
My head of school has just received a fairly angry email.
